Welcome
At the Pelled Lab we are dedicated to researching neuroplasticity mechanisms that are involved in reshaping brain function after injury. We work with several animal models of neurological disorders including peripheral nerve injury, traumatic brain injury, and epilepsy. We focus on identifying neuroplasticity mechanisms, understanding how they are translated into behavior and recovery, and developing new strategies to facilitate neurorehabilitation. We are particularly interested in developing novel genetic-based neuromodulation strategies to remote control neuronal function and guide post-injury plasticity.
